Julius Chrysostom Sark was born in the South of England and survived an uneventful childhood. Despite the efforts of his parents and several of the top boarding schools in the country, he did not study medicine or law. Instead, he traveled across the ocean and purchased an abandoned homestead in the Appalachian Mountains. There he spends his time writing and raising pigs like his idol, Lord Emsworth.
